Spring Tour 2-Star Rules 2026

Ponies

 

Fence Heights - 128cm 1.00m, 138cm 1.10m, 148cm 1.20m.

  1. Spring Tour Pony 2 Star Class to be run under Article 238.2.2 (jump off) & 1 Star classes (2 phase Modified).
  2. The 45 second countdown clock will be operational.
  3. 3 ponies maximum per athlete per height category - 2 Horses maximum per athlete in the Children on Horse category. Athletes may substitute an animal with the permission of the Ground Jury but there is no substitution of athlete allowed.
  4. Entry fee €30 for Spring Tour classes and €26 for the One Star.
  5. League results are based on your best 3 scores plus the final. (You must compete in the final in your relevant class for league prizes).
  6. Points for the Pony/athlete combination in the Pony League to be awarded to 10th place as follows: 1st - 10, 2nd - 9, 3rd - 8, 4th - 7, 5th - 6, 6th - 5, 7th - 4, 8th - 3, 9th - 2, 10th - 1.
  7. 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in the the overall placings.
  8. In 2026 an optional Water Fence will be included in the 148 2 star classes & the 148 1.30 classes.
  9. All Declarations must be done through SJI Live. Opening Monday 10am and closing 12 noon on the Friday before each leg. Strictly there will be no late entries (NO EXCEPTIONS).

*In the event of a tie in all sections, the highest animal/athlete combination placed in the final will be declared the overall league winner.*

***PLEASE NOTE - ATHLETES MUST JUMP AS PER THE START LIST - THOSE WITH MULTIPLE ANIMALS CANNOT SWITCH POSITIONS OF THEIR PONIES***

 

 

Children on Horses Rules

 

 

  1. Children on Horse & Junior classes to be run as a 2 phase modified (1.10/1.20 Handicap) under Article 274.8N.5.3.
  2. Points for the horse/athlete combination in the COH & Junior League to be awarded to 10th place as follows: 1st - 10, 2nd - 9, 3rd - 8, 4th - 7, 5th - 6, 6th - 5, 7th - 4, 8th - 3, 9th - 2, 10th - 1
  3. Last leg of the League will be run against the clock as a jump off competition Article 238.2.2.
  4. No substitution of athlete is allowed but an animal may be substituted with permission of Ground Jury.
  5. The declared animal may only compete in 1 height category on the day.
  6. League results are based on your best 3 scores plus the final. (You must compete in the final in your relevant class for league prizes).
  7. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in the final.
  8. COH/Juniors can only Jump in One Height Category

Spring Tour 1-Star Rules 2026

  •  Classes - U10, 128 90cms, 138 1m, 148 1.10m. 
  •   Points will be awarded 1st to 10th: 1st 10, 2nd 9, 3rd 8, 4th 7, 5th 6, 6th 5, 7th 4, 8th 3, 9th 2, 10th 1, points will be awarded to Rider/Pony combination.
  •   League results are based on your best 3 scores plus the final. (You must compete in the final in your relevant class for league prizes).
  •   Rider and pony combinations will gain points at each leg of the league with the winner being crowned at the final of the Equijump Spring Tour final in Mullingar on the 18th of April.
  •   1 Star classes are still open to all and riders will receive prizes as they are placed on the day, irrespective of the league standings, league placings are only for the purpose of an overall winner at the end of the Tour.
  •   The winner will be crowned in the final based on the leader board only. However any rider/ pony combination who has been placed in the top six in any leg of their relevant Spring Tour 2 star classes, will not be entitled to be placed in the 1 Star league. If they are on the top of the leader board the place will go to the next rider in line.
  •    In the event of any challenge to the League placings, the National Pony Committee’s decision shall be final.
  •    1st, 2nd and 3rd places in the final.
